Asterisk-GUI 2.1.0 RC1 Now Available! |

[posted on venturevoip.com] I was one of those people who thought the Asterisk-GUI project was more dead than alive, and one of the reasons that made me suspect it was the jump in the distribution AsteriskNOW Digium Asterisk-GUI to FreePBX, and lack of activity when publishing new versions of the web manager for Asterisk. Today I find with surprise that not only still alive, if not they just release a "candidate" with a large number of innovations to further improve its stability and adding support for Asterisk 1.6 and Asterisk 1.8 (remember that was Asterisk GUI Asterisk oriented 1.4/1.6). New Features: * Compatible with Asterisk 1.6.x and 1.8 * New option to record MeetMe conferences * 14459 – AddQueueMember support |

Elastix Call Center Protocol (ECCP) 1.0-alpha released. |
PaloSanto Solutions announces the launch of the first public specs of the ECCP protocol (Elastix Call Center Protocol). This is version 1.0-alpha and works from the "callcenter" version 2.0.0-13 addon onwards. This protocol provides a communications API available through a TCP port, which allows 'client' applications to be able to establish a communication with the Elastix 's predictive dialer. This will also allow third party developers to create their own agent consoles or other kind of client applications. The ECCP is a text protocol based on XML and specialized for call centers. The goal is to allow 'client' applications use this protocol as the only protocol, avoiding the use of other technologies such as Web services or AMI (Asterisk Manager Interface). |
